Turnstone Press is one of the most highly regarded literary presses in Western Canada. Conceived in 1975 in a Winnipeg pub, Turnstone was founded to publish and promote Manitoba poets. Turnstone has grown and changed a great deal, publishing not only poetry, but also fiction, literary criticism and literary non-fiction. In 1998 Turnstone created the Ravenstone imprint, which is devoted to literary and experimental mystery and noir fiction. Turnstone Press remains committed to pursuing and promoting new, thought-provoking books by Canadian writers.
