Submissions & Deadlines
Submission Information
Publishers are encouraged to send four copies of any eligible books (five copies for the Carol Shields Winnipeg Book Award) to the Association of Manitoba Book Publishers on or before December 9. 2009. One submission form per title can be used for any number of awards, however, the books and a $25 entry fee must accompany each award submission. The exception is if entering both the Manuela Dias Book Design of the Year Award and the Best Illustrated Book of the Year Award we require only four copies of the book. Forms can be down-loaded in French or English. Please note that individual criteria vary.
Deadline
For books published between January 1st and December 1st, as well as all other submissions, the deadline is December 9, 2009.
For books published between December 1st and December 31st the deadline is January 5, 2010. Note: Late entries will only be accepted if the Manitoba Book Awards have been notified of the late entry by December 9, 2009.
The jury will announce a short list in March 2010. Finalists will be invited to the Manitoba Book Awards Gala (date TBA), at which time the winner will be announced.
